Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.
Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.
Modern massage techniques can be traced back to the 1700s and the development of Swedish massage, the first systematic method of therapeutic massage based on physiology. Massage Therapists use their knowledge of anatomy and physiology to combine traditional Swedish and modern Massage Therapy techniques with exercise and other therapies to treat their patients.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears, which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. By applying specific pressure using thumb, finger and hand techniques, reflexology reduces tension, improves circulation and promotes the natural functioning of the related areas of the body. The reflexologist stimulates the nervous system to do the work of balancing and releasing the body.
During a treatment the patient is relaxing in a comfortable position while the reflexologist works on the feet. The patient is fully clothed but may be requested to remove all footwear. The reflexology treatment lasts between 45-60 minutes. The reflexology treatment begins on the right side, all reflex points on both sides are stimulated as the body is considered to be a whole unit. By working all of the reflex points, the reflexologist addresses internal organs and glands as well as muscle groups, bones, nerve plexus (solar plexus, brachial plexus) and nerves (sciatic) during a session. Reflexology is safe for everyone, although pressure and length of treatment may vary for infants and those with serious illness or compromised immune systems.
The number of treatments varies and is determined by the client's health, reasons for seeking reflexology and effectiveness of treatment. In general, results from reflexology are often subtle and cumulative. Thus, you are more likely to experience greater benefits from regular treatments on a maintenance schedule. Initially, more frequent treatments may be recommended to promote effectiveness. Discuss your options with the reflexologist to set up an appropriate treatment plan to meet your wellness goals.

Energy Balancing

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by palm healing or hands-on healing and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Thai Massage does not concentrate on the soft tissue and muscle as in the Swedish massage but works along energy lines – called Sen Lines.  The massage is aimed at balancing energies throughout the body by working along these lines.
Thai Table Massage is a bodywork technique based on Eastern traditions with elements of massage from the West.  Whereas traditional Thai massage is carried out on a mat on the floor, Swedish massage is usually performed on the massage table. The Thai and Swedish massage concepts have been integrated to give a deep but carefully controlled massage that does not compromise client comfort by over-stretching.  It is suitable for all ages and adapts to each individuals natural level of suppleness.
Thai Table Massage is primarily carried out on a massage table with the client wearing loose, comfortable clothes, the full body massage uses rhythmic palming, thumbing and passive stretches to open joints, relax muscles, gently stretch tendons, tone internal organs, and relieve stress.
